In 2011, Tim and Josh Vander Toorn decided to start a fabrication shop of their own using their combined 25 years of experience in CNC machining, fabrication and machine building. They envisioned a CNC machining and fabricating company that would evolve with technological advances, empower its people to test and implement new techniques and processes, and always put quality and customer satisfaction above all else.
Taking a huge risk at young ages in a downward sloping economy, Tim and Josh faced many skeptics, but they were determined. They’d received enough praise from customers to have confidence in the quality of their work. The Vander Toorns won their first few jobs with customers in the automotive and automation equipment industries. Former co-worker, Eric Jones, brought additional machining and fabrication knowledge to the team, as well as account management and sales experience.
Envision’s commitment to customer service and quality quickly became a force for driving new business, allowing them to hire more staff. Their small fabrication shop has been steadily expanding ever since. Envision recently relocated to a larger building in order to double their capacity.
Envision Machine & Manufacturing has big plans to keep their machining and fabrication business on the path to success. They’re currently working to add more advanced equipment, apply for ISO and other certifications, provide their staff with more technical training, and continuously improve the health and safety of their work environment.
